Affirming Your Identity with Historical, Genealogical, and Documentary Evidence

To support the affirmation of your identity, we offer a comprehensive process that combines historical, genealogical, and documentary evidence with a formal oath. This procedure is facilitated through a notary public via a remote Zoom conference, ensuring convenience and accessibility.

  • Evidence Compilation: Provide historical, genealogical, and documentary evidence to establish your connection to the Nation of the Amikwa Nipissing Allies.

  • Oath by Statutory Declaration: Swear an oath by statutory declaration, a formal commitment to the facts and truths of your heritage and identity.

  • Notarization via Remote Conference: The oath-taking process is conducted remotely, overseen by a notary public.

  • Legal Affirmation: Upon completion, your declaration becomes legally binding, solidifying your identity affirmation.

Embracing 'Indinawemaginnadog': We Are All Related

The principle of "Indinawemaginnadog" or "we are all related" plays a vital role in our community:

  • Genealogical Connections: Demonstrating familial and ancestral connections.

  • Cultural Affirmation: Reinforcing cultural and spiritual bonds that unify the community.

  • Community Strength and Unity: Recognizing that everyone is related, promoting communal responsibility and respect.

  • Educational and Cultural Preservation: Preserving our collective history and culture.

  • Legal and Social Recognition: Achieving broader recognition and validation of our rights and heritage.

This initiative is a celebration of our interconnectedness and shared heritage within the Amikwa Nipissing Allies and beyond.
